Van Driver - Southampton
£14.73 per hour PAYE | Monday-Friday | 08:30-18:00 | Full-Time | Immediate Start
The Best Connection are seeking an experienced Van Driver to join our well-established client, DHL International, at their Southampton site for the busy seasonal period from November through to Christmas.

- Monday to Friday working schedule
- Day shifts from 08:30 to 18:00
- Occasional Saturday shifts during peak periods

The Role
As a Van Driver - Southampton, you will be responsible for delivering parcels safely and efficiently across Southampton and the surrounding areas.
Your duties will include:
- Completing approximately 65-100 deliveries per day
- Delivering parcels to residential and business customers
- Loading and unloading your vehicle
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Following designated delivery routes and schedules
- Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
- Providing professional and courteous customer service
- Managing a busy delivery schedule independently
- Following all company, health and safety procedures
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out daily delivery and collection routes efficiently and safely.
- Ensuring all parcels and consignments are handled with care and delivered on time.
- Completing routine vehicle inspections and promptly reporting any defects or maintenance issues.
- Obtaining and recording accurate proof of delivery and collection.
- Representing DHL professionally when dealing with customers and clients.
- Keeping the vehicle clean, tidy and in good working condition.
- Managing workloads effectively to meet daily delivery and collection targets.
