The Best Connection are currently recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing company based in the heart of Birmingham for a Quality Improvement Inspector / Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional looking to develop their career within a busy manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of quality and process controls within the manufacturing environment.
- Manage supplier quality defect rejection reporting, non-conformances and data collection.
- Work with suppliers on the inspection and validation of parts.
- Identify and deliver quality improvement projects to improve operational performance.
- Collect and monitor quality data to support improvement activities and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.
- Drive a structured QCD KPI programme.
- Carry out product audits and provide technical customer service support.
- Champion Lean Manufacturing and 5S throughout the business.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a quality, inspection, process engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control and manufacturing processes.
- Good understanding of continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience with 5S, quality KPIs and process controls.
- The ability to work confidently in a hands‑on, shop-floor manufacturing environment.
Salary
- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
