We are currently recruiting Process Operatives for a well-established manufacturing site based in Erdington, supplying into a fast-paced industrial environment. This is a physical, hands-on role and would suit candidates who are reliable, hardworking, and comfortable working with machinery and metal components.
Location: Erdington, Birmingham
Role Overview: As a Process Operative, you will be responsible for:
- Loading sheets of metal into production machinery (up to 11kg)
- Operating machinery following training
- Visual inspection of finished components
- Maintaining quality standards and attention to detail
- Working to health & safety procedures at all times
- Keeping work areas clean and organised
What We're Looking For:
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting
- Good eye for detail and quality inspection
- Able to work rotating shifts
- Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance
- Manufacturing or production experience preferred but not essential (full training provided)
Shift Patterns: Most vacancies are on a 2-shift rotation:
- 06:00 - 14:00
- 14:00 - 22:00
- 22:00 - 06:00 (Fixed)
Candidates must be flexible to work shifts as required.
Pay & Allowances: £12.71 per hour basic, 37.5 hours per week. Shift allowance paid per shift worked, with effective hourly rate shown:
- 06:00-14:00 → +£6.00 per day = £13.51 per hour
- 14:00-22:00 → +£12.00 per day = £14.31 per hour
- 22:00-06:00 → +£24.00 per day = £15.91 per hour
