We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Welder to join our growing team in South Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder seeking a long-term position with competitive pay and regular overtime opportunities.
The role is primarily focused on
MIG welding , although experience in
TIG welding and fabrication is highly desirable. Applications from coded welders are particularly welcomed.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out high-quality MIG welding on a variety of metal components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Perform fabrication and assembly work where required.
- Complete TIG welding tasks when needed.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy.
- Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Operate welding equipment and workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding (essential).
- Experience in TIG welding and metal fabrication (preferred).
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good understanding of health and safety within a workshop environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Coded welding qualifications are highly desirable.
