We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Van Driver to join our client based in the B37 area. This is a full-time, ongoing role offering consistent weekday hours and the opportunity to work within a supportive and friendly environment.
Role Overview
As a Van Driver, you will be responsible for completing local and regional deliveries to customers and businesses. This is a customer-facing position, so a positive attitude and good communication skills are essential. You will be representing the company while on the road and at delivery points.
Alongside driving duties, there will be day-to-day warehouse responsibilities, supporting the team with preparing orders, loading vehicles, and ensuring daily operational objectives and targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily deliveries and collections in a company van
- Load and unload goods (handball involved)
- Provide excellent customer service at each delivery point
- Complete delivery paperwork and follow company procedures
- Perform vehicle checks and maintain cleanliness
- Support with warehouse duties including picking, packing, and loading
- Work with the warehouse team to ensure daily targets and objectives are achieved
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (Category B)
- Comfortable with manual handling and handball
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Friendly, professional manner with customers
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a warehouse team
- Previous multi-drop or warehouse experience beneficial but not essential
