We are currently recruiting for a skilled labourer/Counterbalance Fork Lift Operative for day shifts for our client based just outside of Bedford. The role is an ongoing temp to perm role and will involve labouring/moving around construction support materials and loading the materials onto vehicles using a Counterbalance Forklift Truck. Very friendly team and good working environment. Working hours are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday, overtime is available subject to availability at peak times. Pay rate is £14 per hour. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who have previous labouring and production experience; candidates who hold a valid, in date, 5 tonne Counterbalance licence are preferred as the role will involve moving building/landscaping materials around the yard.
Requirements
- Work collaboratively with the site team to achieve production targets
- Carry out quality control checks on products as directed and report any concerns to the site manager
- Manual handling, heavy lifting and working outside in all weathers are a requirement of this role
- Commit to regular day shifts
- Follow all health and safety protocol at all times, reporting any concerns/incidents to management
- Forklift operatives will need to hold an accredited, valid, in date Counterbalance licence
- Be able to commute to shift location
Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment and machinery to produce building/landscaping materials
- Carry out yard/production site and warehouse housekeeping as required
- Complete any health and safety checks and record keeping as required
- Ensure all duties/tasks are carried out to required standards and production targets are achieved
- Operate Counterbalance Forklift to move stock and equipment safely around the yard/production site
