Bakery Operative

The Best Connection is currently recruiting Bakery Operatives to join a leading and well-established bakery in Wednesbury.

Pay Rate

£12.71 per hour

Assignment Dates

Temporary position running from 07/09/2026 to 15/09/2026

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a prestigious food production company, with the potential for further work for reliable and hardworking candidates.

Shift Patterns

We have a variety of day and night shifts available.

Candidates must be flexible and willing to work across different shift patterns when required.

Please note: This is an ad hoc role, however there may be opportunities for ongoing full-time work for the right candidates.

Pay rate increases after 12 weeks for those who secure longer-term assignments.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Packing freshly baked bread into baskets and trays
• Operating and monitoring bakery production machinery
• Ensuring products meet quality standards and customer specifications
• Following food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
• Working efficiently as part of a busy production team
• Reporting machinery faults or production issues to supervisors
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
