An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join a leading manufacturer of high-quality metal fencing products based in Stowting, Kent.
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on manager to take responsibility for our powder coating department, leading a team of 12 operatives and ensuring production targets, quality standards and customer deadlines are consistently achieved.
No powder coating experience? No problem. Full training will be provided. What we're looking for is a proven manager with strong production leadership skills who can motivate a team, improve processes and drive performance.
The Role
- Manage and lead a team of 12 within the powder coating department
- Ensure daily production targets and delivery schedules are met
- Monitor and maintain high quality standards
- Improve operational efficiency and productivity
- Plan workloads and allocate resources effectively
- Support staff development, training and performance management
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Work closely with senior management to support business growth
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Production Manager or similar manufacturing management position (essential)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience working within a fast-paced production or manufacturing environment
- Ability to organise workloads and meet deadlines
- Positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Continuous improvement mindset
Powder coating experience is not required as full training will be provided.
