We are looking for a skilled and motivated Joinery Operative to join our busy client in Alton. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with experience in bench joinery and manufacturing who takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship. Working as part of a dedicated workshop team, you will be responsible for manufacturing bespoke and batch joinery products to specification, ensuring all work meets our quality standards and project deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture bespoke joinery items including doors, staircases, cabinets, and other timber products
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and cutting lists
- Operate woodworking machinery such as spindle moulders, planers, saws, and CNC equipment (where applicable)
- Assemble, sand, and finish products to a high standard
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to meet production targets
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Joiner or Bench Joiner within a timber workshop
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Competence in using woodworking machinery and hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
- Good understanding of workshop health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable but not Essential
- Experience with bespoke or heritage joinery
- Machine experience
