The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (Cat C) Driver on behalf of our client based in the Alfreton area. This is an excellent opportunity offering a potential permanent position after a successful trial period.
The Role:
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries across the UK, ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.
Duties Include:
- Multi-drop deliveries using HGV Class 2 vehicles and vans
- Conducting vehicle checks before and after shifts
- Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant
- Completing and maintaining accurate delivery paperwork
- Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles
- Liaising with customers, suppliers, and transport teams
- General housekeeping and health & safety compliance
Working Hours:
Start times between 5am and 7am. Typical 10 hour days. Flexibility required for early starts, late finishes, overnight stays (although these are not common).
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous HGV driving experience
- Flexible and reliable approach to work
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Basic IT skills (emails / systems)
