We're looking for a Airside Class 2 (CAT C) Driver for our client in Gatwick for a full time role within the Hospitality and Catering Sector. You will be responsible for loading the catering consignment(s) onto a truck as per the daily load plan, flights schedule and unloading of vehicle(s) at the unit. Check the load is safe and secure prior to driving the truck to the airfield by using a designated route. Complete aircraft engagement(s) as per the customer and ramp procedures, guidelines. Catering and de-catering of an aircraft(s) must be completed as per each customer precision time schedule.
Responsibilities of the Airside Class 2 (CAT C) Driver:
- Operate a Class 2 vehicle from Crawley to Gatwick Airport.
- Delivery of on flight catering from the depot to Gatwick airport for various airlines.
- Perform complete pre/post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
- Report any safety issues on standard reports.
- Adhering to assigned delivery schedule and following all job directives.
- Assist warehouse team with loading of stock at the start of the day.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
Shift Patterns: 4 ON 4 OFF. Start times between 0400-1130. Finish times between 1330 - 2100.
Requirements of the Airside Class 2 (CAT C) Driver:
- Category C Licence.
- CPC.
- Digi Tacho.
- Airside driving experience is preferred.
- Physically fit and capable of working at heights.
- Lift and/or push up to 25kg.
- Clean DBS.
- Reference-able for the previous 5 years.
