Salary: £16.00-£17.00 per hour
The Best Connection are recruiting an Engineering Stores Stock Catalogue Operative for our client based in Bridgwater. This is a temporary position until the end of the year, with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, good computer skills and an interest in engineering parts and components.
The successful candidate will support a stock catalogue and data-cleansing project within an engineering stores environment, ensuring that stock information is accurate, organised and up to date.
Rota
- You will be working from Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 with occasional weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and cataloguing engineering spare parts and components.
- Recording accurate stock information, including manufacturer details, part numbers, stock codes, descriptions, quantities and storage locations.
- Using Excel and computer systems to input, update and maintain stock records.
- Identifying duplicate entries, discrepancies and missing information within the existing stock catalogue.
- Physically checking parts and components against recorded information.
- Working between warehouse racking and computer-based systems to ensure stock data matches the items held.
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy and organisation throughout the project.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience using Microsoft Excel and working with data is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Experience working with engineering spare parts, components or technical stock would be highly advantageous.
- Confident using computers and entering information accurately.
- Able to work independently, manage workload effectively and meet project deadlines.
- Previous experience in engineering stores, stock control, inventory management or data cleansing would be beneficial.
