HGV Class 2 Driver - Andover.
The Best Connection Employment Group is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients based in Andover, a leading steel stockholder and processor in the UK, providing a wide range of high-quality steel products.
Our client is seeking experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join their team, delivering steel products to various locations.
This is an excellent opportunity offering a 12-week temp-to-perm position from day one, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
Further Information:
- Annual Salary: £32,250 per annum
- Overtime Rate: Time and a half
- Working Days: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 05:00 start until finished (day shifts)
- Contract: 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity
Responsibilities of the HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Operate a Class 2 vehicle, delivering steel products to various locations.
- Secure loads safely using chains and other appropriate equipment.
- Carry out thorough pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections, including checking tyre pressures, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls.
- Follow assigned delivery schedules and instructions accurately.
- Communicate professionally with the transport office, dispatchers and colleagues to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements of the HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Valid Category C driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Digital tachograph card.
- Proven experience using chains to secure loads.
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- A strong commitment to safety and professional driving standards.
