Role Overview:
The Best Connection is currently recruiting C+E HGV Tramper Drivers for longer-distance driving assignments.
The successful candidates will undertake longer-distance journeys nationwide, with additional incentives available for certain routes.
Drivers will generally complete fewer than five drops per run, with routes varying from week to week depending on operational requirements.
A 24-hour driver support telephone line will be available.
This is a guaranteed 10-week assignment, with the potential for a permanent position to be offered.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Minimum 12 months' HGV driving experience.
- Previous tramper experience advantageous but not essential.
- Good geographical knowledge and route-planning awareness.
- Ability to work independently and manage longer-distance journeys.
- Flexible approach to working hours and varying routes.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Comfortable using smartphone applications.
The candidate:
The ideal candidate will be reliable, professional and confident undertaking longer-distance HGV driving assignments.
You must be comfortable working independently, adapting to changing routes and maintaining high standards of driving and customer service.
Previous tramper experience is not essential, as a full induction and assessment will be provided before your first operational shift.
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum 12 months' driving experience.
- Willingness to download and use the Amazon Relay app.
