The Best Connection are recruiting an experienced Operations Manager on behalf of our digital services client, based at their Wolverhampton site.
The Role
As Operations Manager, you will take full accountability for service delivery across your site(s), ensuring operations run safely, efficiently and in line with customer SLAs, quality standards and business objectives. You will lead and develop operational teams, manage performance and budgets, and act as a key link between senior leadership, colleagues and stakeholders. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast‑paced operational environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for service delivery, operations and performance across the site
- Lead, coach and develop managers and operational teams
- Ensure customer requests are delivered accurately and on time
- Drive continuous improvement, efficiency, cost control and revenue opportunities
- Own site P&L and manage budgets against forecast
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, audits and regulatory requirements
Health & Safety & Compliance
- Accountable for site health & safety, security and critical infrastructure
- Ensure all colleagues are trained and compliant with H&S standards
- Lead on audits and maintain ISO and accreditation compliance
- Promote a strong safety culture and colleague wellbeing
Reporting
- Deliver accurate and timely management information
- Report on budgets, absence, incidents and operational performance
About You
Essential:
- Proven experience leading and developing operational teams
- Coaching-style leadership with strong people management skills
- Data-driven decision maker with strong commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience driving change and continuous improvement
Desirable:
- Leadership & Management qualification (or equivalent)
- IOSH qualification (or willingness to train)
