The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a warehouse/yard operative for our well-established client based in Witney, with immediate starts available. Are you looking for a new role with consistent daytime hours and the opportunity to secure a permanent position? This role is ideal for experienced and reliable warehouse and yard operatives who are confident with driving FLT trucks and want to join a supportive and professional team.
Requirements
- FLT licence or experience
- Previous yard or warehouse experience
- Multi-drop or pallet network experience
- Good level of physical fitness
- Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Good data accuracy, numeracy and basic IT skills
Hours and Pay
- Start times between 06.00am - 18.00pm
- £12.90 per hour (PAYE)
- Temp to Perm position (12 weeks temporary to permanent)
Job Responsibilities
- Assisting with deliveries in unloading and loading vehicles at the branch
- Receive and store goods accurately in the correct locations within the warehouse/yard
- Prepare customer orders and sign for deliveries
- Report stock breakages and maintain accurate stock records through stock checks
- Carrying out daily checks and maintaining forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment in a safe working condition
