Accountant/Bookkeeper in West Bromwich

We are recruiting for an experienced and self-sufficient

Accounts & Bookkeeper to join an established business on a full-time basis.

This role would suit someone who is confident working independently and capable of managing the day-to-day accounts function from start to finish, reporting directly to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing payroll and pension administration
• Managing PAYE submissions and HMRC payments
• Raising sales invoices and maintaining the sales ledger
• Credit control and chasing outstanding payments
• Bank reconciliations
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Maintaining accurate financial records using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll
• Liaising with external accountants when required
• Proven bookkeeping and accounts experience
• Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll
• Confident managing accounts processes independently
• Experience with invoicing, purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, VAT, PAYE and pensions
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines

• 34 hours per week
