Our Tamworth-based client is currently recruiting Night Transport Coordinators for an immediate start. This is a busy role with possible permanent positions following a successful trial period.
You will be a key point of contact for both customers and drivers, ensuring smooth end-to-end service delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction and maximising profitability.
Working Hours & Pay
- £14.81 per hour
- 4 on / 4 off
- 19:00 - 07:00
- Must be flexible to occasionally cover 21:00 - 09:00
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering a consistently high standard of customer service.
- Acting as a professional point of contact for customers and drivers.
- Handling inbound and outbound calls and emails.
- Responding appropriately and professionally to all customer and driver requests.
- Allocating jobs to drivers and planning workloads to meet SLA response times.
- Maintaining continuous contact with customers and drivers throughout the service.
- Monitoring real-time resource availability.
- Accurately costing and pricing jobs for customers and drivers.
- Handling live customer complaints.
- Ensuring response times (SLA) are achieved.
- Maximising profit and preventing loss-making jobs.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, or coordination (preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Confident using telephone systems and email.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
