The Best Connection are currently recruiting a HGV Class 1 Artic Tipper Driver for a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity based in Sheffield. We are looking for a tipper-trained driver who is willing to tramp a minimum of 4 nights per week.

Location: Sheffield, Yorkshire

Pay Rates & Hours:

  • Basic rate: £16.30 per hour
  • 45 hours guaranteed per week
  • Overtime (Mon-Fri after 45 hours): Time and a quarter = £20.38 per hour
  • Weekend rate: Time and a half = £24.45 per hour
  • Night out allowance: £100 (based on 4 nights out)

Based on a 60-hour working week, potential earnings would be:

  • 45 hours @ £16.30 = £733.50
  • 10 hours @ £20.38 = £203.80
  • 6 hours @ £24.45 = £146.70
  • Night out allowance = £100

Total potential weekly earnings: £1,184.00

The Role

You’ll be driving modern bulker tipper vehicles, including Scania, Volvo and DAF trucks, transporting materials between sites while providing excellent customer service. Vehicles are fully equipped with fridge and microwave facilities for nights out. No two days are the same, making this a varied and rewarding role with the opportunity to regularly meet new customers.

Full training is provided, including:

  • 2-day induction
  • Ongoing support and development

Requirements

  • HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Tipper experience/training preferred
  • Minimum age 25
  • At least 1 year of driving experience
  • Maximum 6 penalty points
  • Flexible and professional approach to work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
