The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Service Assembly & Warehouse Operative on behalf of a well-established and growing company based in Cwmbran. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and expanding team.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a combination of service assembly, workshop duties, and warehouse operations, supporting the day-to-day running of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out in-house assembly, overhaul, and testing of equipment
- Monitoring and controlling stock from work-in-progress through to finished goods
- Receiving, inspecting, and dispatching goods, ensuring accurate stock control
- Operating equipment safely, including forklifts, tools, and testing equipment
- Planning and meeting workshop schedules
- Coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries with freight partners
- Maintaining workshop and stores areas, including tools and equipment
- Following all health & safety procedures and using PPE correctly
- Supporting compliance with quality systems and general business operations
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Mechanically minded with hands-on practical ability
- Mechanical and/or electrical experience (advantageous)
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with IT systems and stock/inventory systems
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
- Forklift/Counterbalance experience or licence (preferred)
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00
Friday: 07:30 - 15:00
39 hours per week
