We are recruiting for a Hygiene Operative to join a major food manufacturing operation in the Pontypool area. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market-leading business with an outstanding reputation, supplying products to some of the UK's best-known retailers.
As part of the hygiene team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the exceptionally high standards that help ensure quality products are produced safely and efficiently every day. This is an important position within a modern, fast-paced production environment where attention to detail and teamwork are highly valued.
Schedule & Pay
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern
- 05:00 to 17:00
- £13.05 per hour
- Temp to perm opportunity
Duties Include
- Cleaning and sanitising production machinery and equipment
- Maintaining excellent hygiene standards throughout production areas
- Operating industrial cleaning equipment, including jet washers and foam cleaning systems
- Following cleaning schedules and site procedures
- Using cleaning products safely and effectively
- Completing hygiene records and documentation accurately
- Identifying and reporting maintenance, quality or safety concerns
- Contributing to a clean, safe and efficient production environment
What We're Looking For
- Experience within hygiene, cleaning, manufacturing or food production is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards
- Reliable, dependable and committed to quality work
- Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
- A proactive approach and good work ethic
