The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of a leading automotive manufacturer based in South Birmingham. This is an exciting temporary to permanent opportunity for an experienced Paint Technician to join a dynamic and growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform painting activities in line with IATF 16949 quality standards.
- Inspect all parts before painting to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Clean, maintain, and adjust paint robots and application equipment.
- Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats to required quality standards (adhesion, colour match, gloss levels, thickness, etc.).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce costs.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S) and always follow health & safety procedures.
What We\’re Looking For:
- 3-5 years\’ robotic painting experience (preferably within paint manufacturing or automotive).
- Strong understanding of paint application processes, defect identification, and corrective actions.
- Knowledge of production downtime escalation and quality standards.
Pay Rate:
- £15.50 per hour
Hours of Work:
- 22:00 – 06:00
- Sunday – Thursday
