We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Weighbridge / Administrative Assistant to join our client's site on a temporary basis. This is a varied office-based role that also involves operating the weighbridge, handling bookings, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating the weighbridge and ensuring all vehicles are accurately weighed in line with waste acceptance procedures
  • Booking in waste collections and managing vehicle data
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of vehicles, waste types, and materials entering and leaving the site
  • Managing and organising office files, documents, and records
  • Carrying out general clerical and administrative duties
  • Answering incoming telephone calls professionally
  • Inputting data accurately onto Excel spreadsheets
  • Ensuring full and accurate reconciliation between weighbridge records
  • Raising purchase orders, including attaching documentation and recording received goods and services
  • Taking cash and card payments for trade waste
  • Working in a safe manner at all times and complying with health and safety procedures
  • Using correct tools, equipment, and PPE, ensuring all items are stored correctly after use
  • Reporting any accidents, near-misses, dangerous occurrences, or unsafe conditions to line management

Requirements

  • Previous administrative or weighbridge experience (desirable)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures

Shift Details

  • Monday to Friday 08:00am - 17:00pm

Pay Rate

  • £12.71 per hour
