The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to work at a busy logistics site in Norwich. This is a Monday to Friday role, supporting the day-to-day operation of a transport function and ensuring the efficient movement and loading of demountable boxes ready for delivery. This position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis after a qualifying period. On-site interviews will be held in early January 2026.

Pay & Hours

  • £12.21 - £12.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
  • Monday to Friday
  • Temp to perm opportunity
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Duties Will Include

  • Coordinating and controlling shunter drivers on site
  • Ensuring demountable boxes are presented for customer loading
  • Liaising with loading bay teams to ensure deadlines are met
  • Maintaining accurate records of box movements
  • Dealing with telephone and email queries from customers and drivers
  • Liaising with external contractors regarding vehicle defects and repairs
  • Planning and monitoring vehicle inspections, MOTs and servicing
  • General transport administration duties
  • Providing cover for the Transport Planner when required
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience within transport, transport regulations and compliance preferred
  • Training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Pleasant manner with good people and communication skills
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience using transport planning systems (advantageous)
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
