Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am - 17:00pm. Overtime: ¼ Saturday is required. Overtime offer after completion of 40hr week. Start date is 18th - 26th of May 2026.
Role Overview

My client is seeking a physically capable and highly reliable Warehouse Operative to join their fast-paced operation, focusing on Goods In and manual picking. This is a demanding, hands‑on role that requires the ability to work under pressure, maintain high levels of accuracy, and confidently manage tasks independently. As an experienced Warehouse operative you will be working within a manual picking environment, where attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Goods In
- Receive, unload, and check all incoming deliveries
- Accurately inspect goods against delivery notes and report any discrepancies
- Book stock into the system, ensuring all records and documentation are correct
- Organise and store stock efficiently within warehouse locations
- Picking & Dispatch
- Carry out manual picking of heavy plant components and materials
- Work from pick lists to meet tight deadlines in a high‑pressure environment
- Pack and prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring correct labelling and documentation
- Assist with loading outbound deliveries when required
- Warehouse Organisation
- Set up and organise new stock locations and picking areas to improve efficiency
- Maintain clean, structured, and accessible storage areas
- Support ongoing improvements to warehouse layout and processes
- General Duties
- Maintain stock accuracy through regular checks and strong inventory control practices
- Work independently to manage workload and meet daily targets
- Perform continuous manual handling, including lifting and moving heavy items
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times

- Proven experience in Goods In and manual picking environments
- Strong stock control and inventory management experience is essential
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Physically fit and able to carry out
- Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
