Looking for a hands-on role where no two days are the same? The Best Connection is recruiting General Operatives on behalf of our client inLuton, a well-established manufacturer of high-quality cabins and trailers. This position would suit candidates with entry level skills, whether from manufacturing, construction, maintenance, assembly, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, or a similar background. You'll be working as part of a busy production team, helping to build, prepare and finish products to a high standard before they are delivered to customers.
General Operative Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the manufacture and assembly of cabins and trailers
- Using a range of hand and power tools
- Carrying out basic installation and finishing work
- Supporting electrical and plumbing departments where required
- Keeping workstations organised, clean and safe
- Working to production targets while maintaining quality standards
- Following all health and safety procedures
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a practical, workshop or manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
General Operative Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:30 with a 30-minute unpaid break per shift
General Operative Pay Rate
- £13.00 per hour for all hours worked
- Increase in pay rate for new skills developed and demonstrated
