The Best Connection is recruiting for a Transport First Line Manager to join a busy transport operation in Aberdeen. This role is responsible for the safe, legal, and efficient running of transport operations during each duty shift, while managing and supporting a team of drivers to meet network KPIs and service levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily transport operations in line with SLAs and KPIs
- Lead driver briefings and debriefings (including agency/subcontractors)
- Ensure transport legal, fleet, and H&S compliance
- Manage driver performance, absence, and engagement
- Oversee accident, breakdown, and issue resolution
- Use TMS systems to allocate and monitor work
- Support cost control and operational improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Transport or logistics experience at supervisory level
- Strong transport office and compliance knowledge
- Proven people management experience
- Good IT, numerical, and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
