The Best Connection Newcastle are currently recruiting for an experienced Flexi FLT Operative to join our client's busy storage and distribution facility based in the Jarrow / South Tyneside area. This is a temporary placement to assist with an increase in peak seasonal volume. Our client is a highly established packaging distributor known for providing a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment.
The Role & Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Flexi / Bendi Forklift Truck safely within narrow racking aisles.
- Unloading goods-in and loading delivery vehicles with palletised protective packaging.
- Placing finished stock into high-bay storage positions using warehouse tracking systems.
- Conducting basic quality and stock counts on incoming inventory.
- Maintaining strict health and safety standards across the warehouse floors.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid, in-date Flexi / Bendi FLT License (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
- Previous experience operating a Flexi truck in a fast-paced warehousing or distribution yard.
- A friendly, proactive attitude with a strong focus on site health and safety.
- Good attention to detail when dealing with dispatch and delivery paperwork.
Pay Rates & Contract
- Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour flat rate
- Contract: Temporary, short-term placement
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week
Hours & Shifts
- Dayshift Only: Monday to Friday (No weekend work required)
- 07:30am - 17:00pm (Monday to Thursday)
- 07:30am - 15:00pm (Friday)
- Consistent Weekday Hours: Early Friday finishes
- Immediate Starts Available
