The Best Connection Group- Manchester are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced
General Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a busy warehouse and operations function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and hands-on leader with strong warehouse, operational and people management experience to take ownership of site performance and drive business efficiency.
Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the site, warehouse and administration functions
- Lead and motivate warehouse and operational teams to achieve business targets
- Oversee goods-in, goods-out, stock control and inventory accuracy
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and site procedures
- Monitor workloads, improve processes and drive operational efficiency
- Resolve operational issues and implement continuous improvements
Requirements
- Previous management, supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
- Excellent communication and people management abilities
- Experience within a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of WMS and stock control systems would be beneficial
- Salary of £17.79 per hour (rising to £40,000 per annum once perm, DOE)
