We are currently recruiting an experience
HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver for ongoing work with our established client based in
Hythe, Kent.
This is an ongoing opportunity for an experienced Class 1 Driver looking for
regular long-distance trunking work. Routes primarily cover the
Midlands, including
Solihull, Derby and Coventry.
The majority of the work is trunking, with occasional delivery drops depending on the route.
Previous Class 1 driving experience, curtain-side experience and CMR documentation experience are essential.
The Role
- HGV Class 1 trunking from Hythe to the Midlands.
- Regular routes to Solihull, Derby and Coventry.
- Predominantly trunking with occasional delivery drops.
- Operating curtain-sided trailers.
- Completing CMRs and associated transport documentation.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
- Working within Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
- Maintaining a professional service at all times.
Requirements
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Class 1 driving experience.
- Curtain-side experience - essential.
- CMR documentation experience - essential.
- Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time regulations.
- Reliable and professional approach to work.
Hours & Pay
- £16.25 - £21.00 per hour depending on holiday accrual or pay immediate
- Typical shifts of 10-15 hours
- Regular long-distance work
- Ongoing work available
- Immediate starts available
