The Best Connection are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team. The role involves operating walking floor and tanker wagons, collecting treated material from water treatment plants and delivering to farms. This is a Monday to Friday tramping role offering stable hours and consistent, ongoing work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Class 1 vehicles (walking floor and tanker wagons) safely and efficiently
  • Collect treated human waste from water treatment plants
  • Deliver to farms in line with schedules
  • Ensure loads are transported safely and comply with regulations
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Accurately complete delivery paperwork and logbooks
  • Comply with all driving, tachograph, and health & safety regulations

Requirements

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence - minimum 6 months experience
  • Aged 25 or over (insurance purposes)
  • Maximum 6 penalty points
  • No major endorsements (e.g. DR, DD, IN)
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous experience with walking floors and/or tankers preferred
  • Strong knowledge of UK road transport laws
  • Reliable, professional, and able to work independently

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday
  • 50 hours per week
  • Tramping required (overnight stays in vehicle)
