The Best Connection are seeking Class 1 drivers for our retail client in South Elmsall, WF9.
Shifts available;
Days (store deliveries) / Afternoons (store deliveries and trunking) / Nights (trunking) / Fri-Sun/Mon shifts / Adhoc days/nights
The role involves store deliveries on days/early afternoons, and trunking to the customer\’s own regional service centres across the country and also to their third party partner depots nationwide. The trailers are preloaded prior to dispatch and on a tip and turn basis which is managed by the receiving depot.
Candidates must have good written and verbal communication skills, be professional and reliable.
A driving assessment will be held initially, which will include coupling/uncoupling and manoeuvring/reversing. Following successful assessment, an induction is required which is 2 days classroom training, which includes a knowledge check on drivers hours, tacho laws and highway code, along with 2 days buddy days out with a permanent driver to learn the paperwork and processes when completing lone routes.
Rates of pay;
£17.36 per hour (0600-1800)
£20.36 per hour Sunday to Thursday nights (2200-0600) & Saturdays (0600-2200)
£22.91 per hour Friday night (2200-0600) and Sundays (0600-2200)
£25.91 per hour Saturday night (2200-0600)
Overtime is x1.33 of basic rate after 42/45 hours per week
£34.72 per hour Bank Holidays
