Overview

The Best Connection is working with our client based in Sunderland. They are a market leader in the supply of earthmoving machinery, spare parts, service and repair. Due to an increase in business, they now require a Fabricator to help with the workload.

Duties

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Measuring and marking materials accurately
  • Cutting materials using tools such as saws, plasma cutters, laser cutters, or shears
  • Shaping and forming metal using press brakes, rollers, and bending machines
  • Assembling components through welding, bolting, riveting, or bonding
  • Operating fabrication machinery such as CNC machines, drills, grinders, and presses

The candidate

  • Time served fabricator
  • Previous experience working in a heavy industry background

Hours of work

Monday - Wednesday 9:00am - 7:30am
Thursday 8:30am - 7:00am

Pay Rates

  • £15.22 per hour basic rate (PAYE) for first 40 hours worked
  • £22.83 per hour overtime rate after 40 hours worked
  • £25.37 per hour overtime rate after 45 hours worked
  • £20.00 per shift, shift allowance
