The Best Connection are recruiting for a Night shift/Late Shift Warehouse Team Leader for one of our clients in Bedford. This role is a temp to perm opportunity to join one of the UK's largest distributors of plumbing supplies. The shift pattern is Sunday-Thursday from 18:00 - 03:00 hrs, pay rate is £15.38 per hour.
We are accepting applications from candidates who hold in-date accredited Reach Truck/Counterbalance licences and have at least 2-3 years supervisory experience.
Responsibilities of the Night shift Warehouse Team Leader:- Motivate, lead and coach a team of warehouse operatives
- Monitor and assign daily tasks to ensure timely and accurate order picking
- Carry out regular team briefings/meetings to communicate expectations, goals and updates
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to and enforcing EHS policies and procedures
- Conduct and record safety inspections and report any hazards for resolution
- Follow all HR regulations and maintain a positive and productive working environment
- Track and report on any KPIs for the team, identifying any training needs
- Must have at least two years warehouse supervisory knowledge and experience
- Strong knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures including health and safety and operational standards
- Conduct performance reviews and training activities to maximise team development and opportunities
- Strong attention to detail, conscientious and hard-working with the ability to lead the team to high performance standards
- Direct staff management experience, monitoring workflow and operational performance
- Strong IT skills with experience in using warehouse management software applications
- Work collaboratively with management and staff
