We are currently recruiting a General Operative to join a long-established engineering business that manufactures and supplies precision components to a wide range of industrial customers. This is a hands-on role within a busy, quality-focused engineering environment.
The successful candidate must have previous dispatch experience and a solid understanding of working within engineering or manufacturing settings, where accuracy, care and attention to detail are critical.
Responsibilities- Dispatching engineered components in line with customer and quality requirements
- Picking, packing and preparing finished parts for shipment
- Labelling, completing paperwork and ensuring correct documentation is included
- Booking consignments and coordinating collections and deliveries
- Handling precision components carefully to avoid damage
- Supporting general operative duties within the engineering environment
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working area
- Following all health, safety and quality procedures
- Proven dispatch experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Previous experience working with engineered or fabricated parts
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 5:45pm
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
