The Best Connection is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Container Drivers for an established client based in Portsmouth. This is ongoing ad-hoc work with regular weekday shifts and weekend work available.
Location: Portsmouth
Hours: 06:00 - 17:00, Monday to Sunday availability
Responsibilities:
- Driving a Class 1 (C+E) HGV container vehicle
- Delivering and collecting containers from docks and customer sites
- Entering and exiting ports and dock environments
- DP World dock work (certificate required)
- Completing vehicle checks and reporting any issues
- Maintaining good communication with the transport team
Requirements:
- Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Valid DP World Card
- Previous container and dock experience
- Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
