The Best Connection is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Container Drivers for an established client based in Portsmouth. This is ongoing ad-hoc work with regular weekday shifts and weekend work available.

Location: Portsmouth

Hours: 06:00 - 17:00, Monday to Sunday availability

Responsibilities:

  • Driving a Class 1 (C+E) HGV container vehicle
  • Delivering and collecting containers from docks and customer sites
  • Entering and exiting ports and dock environments
  • DP World dock work (certificate required)
  • Completing vehicle checks and reporting any issues
  • Maintaining good communication with the transport team

Requirements:

  • Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Valid DP World Card
  • Previous container and dock experience
  • Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
