An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Factory Supervisor to join a well established manufacturing business serving the UK industrial and institutional market. This is a hands on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys being on the shop floor, leading by example, and driving operational performance.
Working closely with the production team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support production staff across manufacturing operations.
- Ensure production plans are executed efficiently and targets are met.
- Lead by example on the shop floor, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Monitor product quality and compliance with company standards.
- Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture.
- Coordinate production activities using MRP generated work instructions.
- Identify and resolve operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and performance.
- Communicate effectively with management and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality standards.
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements within manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience working with MRP systems.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- A desire to build a long-term career within a growing organisation.
Working Hours
47.5 hours per week
- Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 5:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
