Peak Pay Rates (effective from 23rd August)
HGV Class 1 Day Driver: £17.40 per hour
HGV Class 1 Night Driver: £18.40 per hour
Overtime (after 9.6 hours):
- £26.10 per hour (days)
- £27.60 per hour (nights)
Guaranteed minimum: 9.6 hours per shift
Drivers who complete 12 weeks of service will recieve a bonus in January on all hours worked.
About the Role
The Best Connection is recruiting
HGV Class 1 Drivers (LGV C+E Drivers) for ongoing work with a leading
pharmaceutical distribution company in Nottingham (Beeston area).
This role is ideal for experienced drivers or newly qualified HGV drivers looking for
reliable, well-paid Class 1 driving work in Nottingham.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing 1-3 drops per shift (multi-drop HGV driving)
- Driving Class 1 curtain-sided vehicles (no heavy lifting or handballing required)
- Carrying out vehicle checks and trailer inspections
- Ensuring load security and compliance
- Communicating with the transport and logistics team
- Following tachograph regulations and driver hours rules
- Completing delivery paperwork and debriefs
Requirements
- Valid
- HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) licence
- Valid

- Minimum 1 year experience preferred, but
- newly qualified HGV drivers welcome (assessment required)
