Production Operatives to join a busy team in Bacup.
The Role
This is a hands-on role involving
repetitive work and manual handling, working with foam and fibre to produce and stuff pillows.
Duties include:
- Stuffing pillows with foam and fibre
- Manual handling of materials
- Working as part of a busy production team
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up stockinette knitting machines.
- Adjust machine settings, yarn tension and production speeds.
- Monitor the quality of finished stockinette.
- Identify and resolve basic machine faults.
- Replace needles, yarn and other machine components when required.
- Carry out routine cleaning and basic machine maintenance.
- Follow production specifications and health & safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organised working area.
- Work efficiently to meet production targets.
- Demonstrate good attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
Shift Pattern
Thursday: 6:00am - 6:30pm
Friday: 6:00am - 6:30pm
Saturday: 6:00am - 11:30am
Pay: £12.71 per hour
This role would suit someone who is
reliable, physically fit, comfortable with repetitive tasks and happy working with foam and fibre materials.
