The Best Connection Employment Group are currently seeking HGV Class 2 Drivers for one of our major clients in Andover. Applicants must have experience using chains for securing loads.
Rate of Pay: £16.50 per hour, £25.99 per hour for overtime
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 05:00 - until finished (day shifts)
This role offers a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate.
Responsibilities of the HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Operate a Class 2 vehicle delivering metal goods to various locations
- Secure loads safely using chains and other appropriate equipment
- Perform complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle (tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls)
- Report any safety issues on standard reports
- Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely
- Interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis to ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely and professional manner
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures
Requirements of the HGV Class 2 Driver:
- Category C Licence
- CPC
- Digi Tacho
- Experience using chains for load securing
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
The successful candidate will possess a current and valid Category C Licence, Digi Tacho and CPC card, along with proven experience in using chains for securing loads.
