The Best Connection Chesterfield are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) HGV Drivers for a leading logistics client based in Worksop. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing, full-time work, excellent pay rates, and straightforward trunking duties with no to minimal handball.
Role: Class 1 HGV Driver (C+E)
Location: Worksop/Blyth
Shifts: Days – start times from 04:00 onwards
Pattern: 5 days per week (5 out of 6 during peak, Monday–Saturday)
Work Type: Depot-to-depot trunking (minimal/no handball)
Key Responsibilities
- Completing daily vehicle checks
- Following planned routes and schedules
- Ensuring full compliance with UK driving laws and tachograph regulations
- Communicating with the transport team regarding delays or issues
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Minimum 2 years’ Class 1 driving experience
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good communication and timekeeping skills
- Reliable and professional approach
