Logistics Administrator
Location: Dalton, Thirsk
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Administrator to join a busy operation based in Dalton, Thirsk.
The successful candidate will have previous logistics and administrative experience, excellent IT skills, and the confidence to liaise with drivers and support the wider operations team.
The Role
- Using in-house systems and Microsoft Office packages
- Liaising with drivers and supporting inbound and outbound deliveries
- Providing direct administrative support to Operations Managers
- Working to targets and ensuring daily duties are completed within required timescales
- Completing general administrative duties, including filing and maintaining records
- Answering emails and telephone calls
- Providing general office support where required
- Working closely with the wider logistics team to ensure operations run smoothly
- Being comfortable working on your feet and staying busy throughout the day
Requirements
- Previous logistics and administrative experience is essential
- Excellent IT skills, including experience using Microsoft packages
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- Friendly, polite, and approachable manner
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines and targets
- Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be available to work Monday to Friday
- Own transport is ideal due to the location and working hours
