As a Cat C driver you will be driving an 18 or 26 Ton rigid vehicle for one of the UK's largest providers of bread and other bakery products to customers. All drivers are required to have a minimum of one year's commercial driving experience in the UK and be looking for full-time employment.
Working on a temp to perm contract. Subject to passing the trial period, you will then become a permanent member of staff. The start time is between midnight and 2 am and the average working shift is between 8-10 hours. This is a Monday to Friday position.
£17.75 per hour with an 8-hour minimum shift. Overtime paid if asked to work at weekends or on a bank holiday. You will be delivering bread to a variety of customers but mainly to large, medium, and small supermarkets. All products are stacked in cages and offloaded via tail lift into supermarket delivery areas.
Drivers will need to have good communication skills and be willing to be flexible with finish times due to the nature of the work. The company provides training on routes and paperwork before you go out on your own. The job has an immediate start. The job is physical but there is no heavy lifting involved.
