The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Farm / Warehouse Operative with an FLT licence to join a well-established agricultural and food production site based in the Wem (SY4) area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on, outdoor/yard-based work alongside warehouse duties, with long-term opportunities and a stable working pattern.

Pay & Hours

  • £13.00 per hour
  • Monday to Friday 07:00 – 17:30

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handling and moving agricultural products and materials
  • Loading and unloading deliveries (including farm produce and supplies)
  • Yard work and supporting general farm operations
  • Picking, packing and preparing stock for dispatch
  • Pallet movement and stock control
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Using FLT when required (not the main part of the role)
  • Using scanners or systems where needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Counterbalance FLT licence (in-date preferred, but expired licences accepted – refresher training provided in-house / newly qualified welcome)
  • Previous warehouse, farm or yard experience
  • Happy with a mix of indoor and outdoor work
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • PPT experience (advantage but not essential)
  • Basic computer / scanner knowledge
  • Reliable and proactive attitude
  • Own transport essential (due to rural location)
