The Best Connection are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 Steel Drivers to join a well-established operation. This role involves delivering steel products using flatbed or extendable trailers across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:- Safe and efficient delivery of steel products
- Securing loads using straps, chains, and other equipment
- Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Ensuring all deliveries are carried out in line with health & safety regulations
- Maintaining a professional and reliable approach at all times
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Minimum 1 year’s HGV driving experience
- Flatbed or extendable trailer experience preferred (training can be provided)
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than 6 points – No DR, DG, or IN10 endorsements accepted
- Strong understanding of driver hours and regulations
- Competitive rate of £17.00 per hour
- Minimum 10 hours pay guaranteed per shift
- Ongoing, stable work with a reputable client
- Opportunity for temp-to-perm positions
- Support and training where required (including steel handling)
