The Best Connection are currently recruiting a Sewing Machinist to work in a production facility based in Portsmouth, Hampshire.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture products
- Cut, measure, and prepare fabrics to specified dimensions
- Sew hems, seams, and reinforced edges to ensure durability for outdoor use
- Follow technical drawings, patterns, and production specifications accurately
- Attach components such as labels where required
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure consistency and high standards
- Maintain sewing machines, including basic troubleshooting and routine cleaning
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines
This is for an ongoing, seasonal contract, starting as soon as possible. Working hours are Monday to Friday 0900-1600. The pay rate is £13.23 per hour, weekly pay.
