Forklift counterbalance driver required to start immediately at our client based in Plympton. The duties of the role include:

  • Operating a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently
  • Supporting daily dispatch activities
  • Ensuring customer orders are prepared and loaded accurately
  • Loading and unloading 20ft and 40ft shipping containers
  • Carrying out bulk side loading operations in accordance with site procedures
  • Assisting with stock movement, storage, and inventory control activities
  • Conducting routine checks on consumables and reporting replenishment requirements
  • Performing pre-use equipment inspections and reporting any defects or maintenance issues
  • Maintaining excellent standards of housekeeping across warehouse, loading, and yard areas
  • Following all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures

Our client is offering a 3 month assignment for this role with an immediate start. The ideal candidate must have:

  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, manufacturing, or industrial environment
  • Experience loading and unloading containers is desirable
  • Good awareness of health and safety practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Flexible approach to duties and working hours

Pay Rates: Shift Schedule could be any of the below:

  • 06:00-18:00 (DAY SHIFT)
  • 18:00-06:00 (NIGHT SHIFT)
  • 1 HOUR BREAK (UNPAID)
