The Best Connection are looking for Class 1 ADR drivers to join their team on days M-F and occasional Saturday or Sunday for an established client based in Heysham. We are looking for people who would be happy to do a rota that has days, nights and weekends.
Salary: GBP 17-18 per hour.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Class 1 (articulated) vehicles to deliver and collect hazardous and non-hazardous goods.
- Ensure accurate and timely deliveries in line with schedule and route plans.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Complete all relevant paperwork (delivery notes, manifests, etc.).
- Maintain compliance with ADR (Accord Dangerous Routier) regulations and other applicable transport laws.
- Operate within legal driving hours and tachograph regulations.
- Communicate effectively with transport managers and customers.
- Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are met at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
- Valid ADR certificate covering relevant classes (e.g., Class 2 for gases, Class 3 for flammable liquids).
- Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).
- Digital tachograph card.
- Knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations.
- Ability to handle documentation and communicate clearly.
- Strong awareness of safety protocols for handling hazardous materials.
Pay Rates: Minimum 10 hour per shift for both days and nights.
