The Best Connection Mansfield are currently recruiting a Mechanical Technician to join a well‑established and fast‑growing company based in Newark. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a busy construction division, maintaining high‑quality equipment in a hands‑on and dynamic environment.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Carry out equipment repairs and pre‑hire inspections
  • Perform routine maintenance on plant equipment
  • Complete electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs
  • Service and inspect all equipment to ensure safety and functionality
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, compliance, and performance

Requirements:

  • Previous knowledge or experience within a mechanical, plant hire, or equipment‑based role
  • Ability to work as part of a team and support colleagues

  • A full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential
