Maldon, Essex | Temp-to-Perm Opportunities

£14.50 per hour for the first 12 weeks, rising to £16.35 per hour after 12 weeks!

Our client is a well-established, family-owned manufacturing business based in Maldon, Essex, with a long-standing reputation for producing premium food products supplied to customers worldwide.

Due to continued growth, we are recruiting Production and Warehouse Operatives to join their busy operations team on a temp-to-perm basis . These opportunities are ideal for candidates with manufacturing, warehouse or FMCG experience who are looking to secure long-term employment with a successful and growing company.

Warehouse Operative

  • Monday to Friday
  • 08:00am – 4:15pm

Production Operative

Rotating weekly shift pattern:

  • Week 1: 5:45am – 2:00pm
  • Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:15pm

Both roles are based on a 37.5-hour working week.

Production Operative Duties

  • Operating a Counterbalance FLT to move products and materials safely around site.
  • Carrying out quality checks and inspecting products for any defects or foreign bodies.
  • Stacking finished products onto pallets ready for storage or dispatch.
  • Supporting the production process and ensuring products meet quality standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient working environment.

Warehouse Operative Duties

  • Operating a Counterbalance FLT to load and unload HGVs safely and efficiently.
  • Moving finished goods and materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Ensuring products are stored correctly and stock is rotated appropriately.
  • Completing loading documentation and carrying out vehicle checks where required.
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety within the warehouse.

About You

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (essential).
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing or FMCG experience.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and legislation.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the business.

Please note that due to the location of the site, candidates must be able to reliably commute using their own transport , as there are no suitable public transport links available.
